The fourth aspect to living a life from the knowledge of God’s will that pleases him in every way, that Paul talks about in Colossians 1 is, “giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light”.
“Giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has QUALIFIED you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light.” We have been qualified, certified, justified, declared righteous. Our life is hidden in God. We have been given the Holy Spirit as a downpayment, a deposit and a guarantee of the good things to come.
Check out this definition for guarantee: a formal promise or assurance (typically in writing) that certain conditions will be fulfilled.
1 Corinthians 2:12
“What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us.”
Colossians 2:9-10
“For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and in Christ you have been brought to fullness”
Colossians 3:4
“When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.”
To be grateful is to think about what we have. To think about what we have, is to think about what is already finished. This causes us to think about who God really is and who we really are. Creating an environment that produces this kind of thinking produces a life lived on purpose according to His will. Guaranteed to be pleasing in every way.
Success is predictable.
