A vehicle is a tool that gives you access to realize potential. A vehicle however is only as beneficial as it is used.
Let’s say you buy the car of your dreams. This thing is beautiful. It has all the things you could ever want and more. Every day you go out and sit down on your front porch and look at your car. You admire the beauty, you picture yourself inside of it. You imagine all the places you could go, all the experiences you could have. This vehicle stimulates epic thoughts of potential. After awhile you snap out of daydreaming, because your hungry and go inside. You eat dinner, watch some tv, then go to bed. The next day you go about your business doing the things you normally do, in the evening you get reminded of the vehicle and go back outside, sit on the porch and dream about potential.
The problem with the front porch is that it’s not the driver’s seat. Potential is unrealized ability, and that front porch will keep that potential unrealized. A vehicle is a tool that when used gives you the ability to journey in a direction.
Our God given gifts are vehicles. The use of them gives us access to certain roads. They give us access to certain people.
If you can relate to sitting on the front porch, I know I can, then I have good news for us. We already have pictures and ideas of what we could do and where you could go. Pick a destination, make a plan, grab a vehicle, commit and take a drive.
We need to understand and believe that the gifts that we have, are the ability needed to accomplish our purpose. We need to believe deep down in the fiber of our being that we are created to succeed. Potential is knocking at the door. Don’t wait for the battering ram.
