Your gift is the key to your calling in life. Your gift is the solution to a certain kind of problem. By using your gift you begin to experience fulfillment because you are operation from your potential, which is your natural expression.
In Ephesians 4:11-16 Paul says,
“So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.
Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.” Ephesians 4:11-16
Your gift is necessary for growth in the body. Not only so, but is necessary for demonstrating the kingdom of heaven to the world. “From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.” The body builds itself up through the use of the function of each body part. If you want to build mountain peak sized biceps, you must exercise the function of the biceps. If there is a weak body part it is not because the part is destined to be weak, it’s because it is not being used. Paul said the body grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.
What’s really fun about this reality is that your total fulfillment in life is in realizing your potential which is a solution to a problem. You defining your function and operating in it creates growth, meaning what you do has a beneficial impact on the people around you. People are strengthened as you function in your God given gift. Your use of your gift makes you strong and by default what makes you strong strengthening others. Your success in realizing your potential creates a snowball effect that causes others to do the same. You living in the glory of God causes others to live in the glory of God.
The use of your gift is the key to your fulfillment and the breakthrough to others success.
