In Habakkuk 2:2-3 it says,

“Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it.

For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false.  Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.”

Habakkuk prays to God about the injustice he sees and God responds saying, “Look at the nations and watch— and be utterly amazed.  For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told.”

God tells Habakkuk to write down the revelation so it can be repeated to other people.  God reassures him that this word will come at its appointed time, it will not delay or prove false.  God says, “Though it linger, wait for it.”

Similarly, the dreams and visions God has given you, that you have or will write down, will come to pass.  Sometimes these dreams we cultivate resemble what God said to Habakkuk, “ For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told.”  Some of this reason for disbelief is because it seems to linger.

Joseph had a dream and there was a good chunk of time after that dream until it came to pass.  Kris Vallotton says it like this, “between the dream and the palace is the process.” It can seem like its lingering but its not.  Don’t get distracted by unbelief or by what you are not seeing. Focus on what you do see and have heard. Write the vision down so it is plan and clear.  Never reduce your dreams because you don’t know how it will happen. Focus on what you can do now and take action. Keep employing discipline. Don’t get distracted by doubt, keep moving forward.

Isaiah 46:9-10

“Remember the former things, those of long ago; I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me.  I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, ‘My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.’”
