There is a controversy in the mind that prohibits true, all in commitment.  In all of us there is the desire for greatness to be unleashed and released through the use and development of our gifts that would allow us to live and accomplish our God given purpose and mission on earth. And to do that would necessitate growth, development, action, creativity, and intentionally putting yourself in uncomfortable situations. To truly succeed in this you would have to give your whole self to the mission.

The use of your time would have to be redirected in focus of achievement of new goals.  Therefore your days would begin to look different. You would probably need to wake up earlier to use your time more efficiently.  This would mean you would have to commit to getting up when you don’t feel like it, when you still feel tired, when all you want to do is fall back asleep.  The focus of your day would require honing to create an environment that continually encourage growth, action and discipline in pursuit of your vision. Your evenings would be dedicated to action, learning, development, networking and meeting new people.  This structure and discipline would make growth and progress predictable and would ensure success.

But with all this change and concentrated focus on growth, development and action for the explicit purpose to truly live a life worthy of the calling we have received, there is a fear that all this focus, discipline, dedication, perseverance, persistent insistence, consistency and tenacity would somehow put our relationship with God in danger.  There is a fear of becoming prideful, that even the idea of living life on purpose is somehow a pursuit of the flesh. Therefore the commitment to such action would be too high a cost.

It’s becoming more and more clear that the difference between those who change the world and those who exist, in the world others create, is this: The ones who change the world give themselves the permission to go all in, to commit all the way.  They give themselves permission to take massive action to accomplish the vision they can see. The people who don’t change the world don’t have less ability than those who do, they just don’t give themselves permission to commit due to fear. Whether the fear of failure, or the fear of turning away from God.  Fear of the future creates the belief that change is too uncertain and therefore it is safer to stay the same. That way of life is predictable, not great, not exciting, not expansive, not impactive just predictable.

This controversy in the mind is known by many.  The fear of giving your whole self to your purpose comes from bad information about who God is, who we are and what we are called to do on this planet.  There is greatness in you and it was put there by God on purpose. However, you are not guaranteed to realize that greatness. Because that is up to you. Greatness, true greatness, is not accomplished void of God.  But it’s also not accomplished void of you.

So what are we going to do?  This controversy in the mind puts us on the fence.  On one side is your calling, mission, purpose, and mandate by God to display his splendor to the world on purpose with great intentionality.  This is the realization of the expectation of greatness on your life. And this is where you will truly encounter God. On the other side is the abortion of God’s desire and dream for you life.  It’s the commitment to exist instead of live. It’s the release of average and mediocre, the infectious and fatal disease that kills potential. It has the promise of safety and security but in the end will demand a price that you can not afford.

Well, there is really only one answer:  In the name of Jesus I give us permission to go all in.  To actually obey the will of God. To dive into wholeness, restoration and reconciliation.  To own the reality and truly be a child of God. To be empowered with the same Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead.  To dream dreams in God that hold divine solutions. And to commit to their development and release into the world. I give us permission to become excellent, extravagant and expertly skilled.  I give us permission to build a fire so big and so bright and so tall that it can be seen by the nations. When they see it they will be drawn to it. They will sit by its warmth and marvel. And the only conclusion people will be able to draw whether they like you and what you stand for or not is, “God really does exist.  And He really does love the people he created.”

My good peoples I give you and me permission to GO ALL IN!!!!
