Patient endurance is the ability to hold onto hope and the promises of God regardless of what the situations and circumstances look like. Patient endurance is the mentality of perseverance.
You only need perseverance if you are committed to reaching a desired end.
Commitment says – regardless of how much effort, how much time or how many obstacles faced, I will reach the end destination.
Perseverance is – Persistence in taking action regardless of the difficulties or the delay in the achievement of success.
To make it to our end destination there will be difficulties, problems that will need solving. It will take longer than we think and be harder than anticipated. Follow this, if we know ahead of time that we will have to “work it out,” then we prepare our mentality to approach these trials and difficulties with peace and joy.
Commitment says I am going to win! Perseverance says you can’t stop me! Commitment and perseverance guarantees you reach your end, period. Patient Endurance is the mentality that fuels moral.
Patient means – able to accept or tolerate delays, problems, or suffering without becoming annoyed or anxious.
Endurance means – the fact or power of enduring an unpleasant or difficult process or situation without giving way.
Patient Endurance therefore is the mentality that creates the ability to persist as long as it takes and even longer than that, due to the refusal of losing your head. I can handle anything because I have the mentality.
This is the mentality that fuels what Jesus said in Matthew 5:38-42
You have heard that it was said, ‘Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.’ But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also. And if anyone wants to sue you and take your shirt, hand over your coat as well. If anyone forces you to go one mile, go with them two miles. Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you.
Patient endurance is a mentality that refuses to yield to any other outcome than the one you committed to.
